Focus On: The Original Mad Dog ® Leather

 Our signature leather, we have now been making our Mad Dog® Goat article for over 30 years, and it is exported all around the world. Even though we have been producing it for such a long time, we are still finding different uses and ways of finishing the leather to create so many varied, and interesting looks in a wide range of finished products, from Footwear, to Leather goods, Apparel and Accessories.

An array of Mad Dog® shades

The original Mad Dog® article is manufactured on Sokoto Veg Tanned African Goat skins, which have a distinctive, unique shrunken grain pattern. It is this raw material which we use that makes this article so unique, and the grain lines that you see in the pull up offer a unique, and interesting character to the leather.

The beauty of this leather is that due to the unique blend of natural oils and waxes that we use, the leather has a natural, vintage look that gets better with age. If the leather is scuffed at all in the finished product then it can be easily burnished and polished back again, restoring the leather and giving it a natural, luxe patina that develops over time.

Due to the popularity of Mad Dog®, we have over time expanded this range of leathers to produce this same finish on a variety of different raw materials, and with varying finishes. All of this Mad Dog® range is inspired by the natural, rustic beauty of nature and natural materials. Please have a look at a selection of the different finishes we offer below;
